IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lowell D.
Van Vleck
June 8, 1933 – March 24, 2022
Lake City - Rev. Lowell D. Van Vleck was born in 1933 to George and Doris Van Vleck of Yakima, Washington. He served in the US Navy on the Ticonderoga during the Korean Conflict. While stationed at NAS Jacksonville he met the love of his life, Margaret Kearns and they have had a beautiful marriage for over 67 years. He graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He was an Assembly of God minister for over 45 years and had been active in ministry until time of death. Pastor Van went to be with the Lord peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on March 24th, 2022, in Lake City, Florida. He has touched many lives through the Gospel and has left a beautiful legacy of soul winning & discipleship. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
Pastor Van made an impact on everyone he met and faithfully remained a servant of the Lord for the last 67 years. He was a hardworking & compassionate man. He loved to laugh and enjoyed life. His greatest honor was to be a Pastor and his greatest passion was to build relationships with people. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He could be found with a smile on his face right along with a joke to share to make you laugh. His main desire was to serve God and serve his family. We are grateful for the beautiful example he set for our family and the great legacy he has left behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Doris Van Vleck, and three siblings Roberta McConnell, Ronald and Everett, and son-in-law Mike Baldree, and grandson Daniel Klump. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Van Vleck; children Vicky Baldree, Randall Van Vleck, Valerie (Richard) Brinkley, Denise (Rufus) Lawrence, Sonya (Jim) Schmid and Tonya (Chris) Forbes. Eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two siblings Isabel Adams and James Van Vleck, and many nieces and nephews - whom he loved and prayed for regularly.
