Louetta Cook, 81, of Lake City, went peacefully in her sleep to be with her heavenly family on Sunday, November 29, 2015 following an extended illness.
Born February 11, 1934, in Ole Town, Fl., to the late John Driggers and Minnie Deas. Mrs. Cook enjoyed fishing, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years; Robert L. Cook, brothers; John L., Green, Berry, Harvey, and Bert Driggers, sisters; Annie Mae, Effie, Irene, and Jennie Driggers.
Survivors include her two sons; Lorne Cook and Lacey Cook (Casey), both of Lake City, Fl., three daughters; Kristy Barnette (Robert), Lorie Mann (Joshua) both of Lake City, Fl.,and Debbie Kight of Starke, Fl., ten grandchildren; Amanda and Lou Hermesman, Dana Kent, Kenneth McCumber, Austin Voidanoff, Cyle and Cole Harden, Jasmine Mann, Breanna Glass, and Dalton Nazworth and eight great grandchildren; Chasity, Bryson, Abigail, Haley, Shelby Lou, Trinity, Colton, Lane, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be conducted at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends will be one hour prior to the service 1-2:00pm at the funeral home.
