Lorraine D. Macatee, 76, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday morning, April 20, 2023 after an extended illness. She was born in Millville, NJ on June 9, 1946 to the late Vernon Schwegel and Violet Larro Schwegel. She has made Lake City her home since the early to mid-1990s and was a homemaker. She was of the Catholic Faith and a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, especially Native American crafting. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Raymond Macatee; sons, Micheal Polhamus & Leon Polhamus; and her brother, Vernon Schwegel, Jr..

She is survived by her son, David Polhamus (Stephanie) of Lake City and her daughter, Raelien Macatee Ray (Donald) of Lake City; and her sister Patricia "Patty" Hulitt. Seven grandchildren, Micheal, Matthew, Lily, Elizabeth, Ana, Micheala and William; along with four great-grandchildren, Conner, Braddock, Artemis and Oberon also survive.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at their home at a later date. Inurnment will take place privately in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
