Ms. Loretta June Burnham, 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at ET. York Care Center in Gainesville, FL. following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lois Mead Neeley. Ms. June is preceded in death by her husband Norman Burnham, one daughter Norma Jean Burnham, two brothers Earl Neeley and Charles Neeley, Sr., and two sisters Beula Hardy and Grace Hagans.  Ms. June had made Lake City her home for the past seventy-three years after moving from Appalachia, VA. She was a member of the graduating class of Columbia High School in 1958 and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening.

Ms. June is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Downing (Mitchell), Lake City, FL; and Kathy Guthrie (Anthony), Texas; one sister, Lorriane Hayes, Bristol, VA. Seven grandchildren, Alisa Keen, Steven Downing, Patricia Fussell, Ashley Spahalski, Austin Lord, Leslie Nettles, and Brittany Charles, and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service for Ms. June will be conducted on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Elmer Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, June 16, 2025, one hour prior to the service at the church.
