Lora LaVerne Seckinger, 76, of Lake City, FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Shands at The University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. A native of Genoa (Hamilton County), FL, she was the daughter of the late Gelon S. Cheshire and Mary Beulah Johnson Cheshire. She had lived most of her life in Hamilton and Columbia counties and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a past member of White Springs First Baptist Church. She had worked for the Social Security Administration for 24 years and enjoyed being a member of the Suwannee River Squares dance group. LaVerne loved flowers, gardening, reading, was devoted to her family and she loved the Lord.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, David Seckinger, Sr.; one son: David Seckinger, Jr. (Kim), Pensacola, FL; one daughter: Pam Beauchamp (Rick), Lake City, FL; one sister: Annette Boatright (Alfred), Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren: Heather Law (Drew), Lake City, FL, Trey Beauchamp (Carlee), Lake City, FL, David Seckinger, III (Sarah), Pensacola, FL and Justin Seckinger (Brianna), Pensacola, FL; and three great grandchildren: Drew Law, IV and Riley Law, Lake City, FL and Taylor Seckinger, Pensacola, FL

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at White Springs First Baptist Church with Rev. Lowell Osteen officiating and assisted by Bro. Joe Shiver. Interment will follow at Camp Branch Cemetery in Genoa, FL (Hwy 41 thru White Springs, left on Hwy 132, left on 137th Blvd, cemetery will be on right 1.1 miles past the fire station).
