Lola Lee Ward, 79, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Shands University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville Florida.  Lola was born May 23, 1945 in Xenia, Ohio to Elmer Lee and Leona Mae Entsminger.  She moved to Lake City when she retired in 1998. She enjoyed playing games with her family and watching a good Lifetime original movie. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Howard "Bud" Ward, her son Ruben "Butch" Abbott; and siblings, Rita Randall, Goldie Kingsoliver, and Andy Entsminger.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Abbott of Kentucky, Belinda Clark of Gainesville, Brenda Ward of Ohio, Patrica Ward of Lake Butler and Lori Ward of Lake City; brothers, Dave Entsminger, Leroy Entsminger and Roger Entsminger all of Ohio.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

A private family service for Mrs. Ward will be held in Lake City with a graveside memorial planned for May 2025 at New Silver Creek Cemetery in Jamestown Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, please make online gifts in memory of Lola Ward to the Dementia Society of America, www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
