Lois Marion Hines

Lois Marion Hines, 96, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026 at the Willowbrook Assisted Living Facility in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 30, 1929 to the late Daniel N Davis and Lois Williams Davis Feagle. She has made Lake City her home all of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City. She worked for a few years with the telephone company before she became a fulltime mom and homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking wedding cakes, making greeting cards, singing in the church choir, sewing and playing the piano. She is preceded in death by her brother Clarence Feagle Jr. and husband of over 60 years, Charles H. Hines.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Dell Anne Afzal (Naser) of Alachua, FL, Charlene Hines of Phoenix, AZ, Kay Poltorak (Gerry) of Lake City, FL and Nola H. Moon (Robert) of Wimauma, FL. Six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Hines will be conducted on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Ken Baxley and Carl Chauncey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
