IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd Daniel
Yahn
March 3, 1927 – February 11, 2017
Mr. Lloyd D. Yahn, 89, of Lake City, died unexpectedly on February 11, 2017. He was born in Watertown, WI - the very town whose people established Watertown in Lake City. Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served in the Far East during WWII. After being honorably discharged in 1946, he studied Engineering at the University of Indiana. He later became Project Manager at several highly-regarded Engineering firms, overseeing two manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico as President. Lloyd retired to Lake City in 2001 where he focused on his love of painting.
Mr. Yahn is survived by his adoring wife of 22 years, Ortrud; his son, Mark Yahn (Kathy) of San Antonio, TX; and his daughter, Rebecca Helmich (Steve) of Scottsdale, AZ. His 3 brothers pre-deceased him, as did his son, Brad Yahn. Lloyd also has 6 nieces and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was cremated in a private ceremony at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on February 15. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Stroke Association at 9707 E. Easter Lane, Bldg. B, Centennial, CO 80112 or at www.stroke.org in memory of Lloyd Yahn.
