Mr. Lloyd Baxter Raymer, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL, following an extended illness. He is the son of the late Paul Thomas and Evie Marie Larrison Raymer and is preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, David, and Gene Raymer, and one sister, Rose. He made Lake City his home for the past fifty-two years, and he served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the United States Air Force, he then joined the Army National Guard. He was a member of Gateway-Baptist Church, he was a member of the American Legion, Lake City Masonic Lodge F&AM #27, Lake City Shrine Club, The Suwannee Valley Volunteer Fire Department, he also served ten years with Columbia County Citizens on patrol and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years Jeanette Raymer, Lake City, FL and his beloved dog Coco his children April Reeves (Scott), Brent Raymer (Patty), White Springs, FL, Kevin Raymer, White Springs, FL; Chad Davis (Will Chappell) Atlanta, GA; Donna Baker (Killian), Lake City, FL; and Sissy Beach (Lee), Lake City, FL. twenty three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Milton Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Gateway-Forest lawn Funeral Home. The family asked that if you rode a motorcycle or were a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, you would join the family on May 21, 2026, at Ollie's parking lot for one final ride to Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home for Lloyd’s final motorcycle ride.
