Mr. Lloyd Harold Bennett, Sr., 81, of Branford, Fla., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 3, 2008, at The Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City following a lengthy illness. He was born in Roundo, S.C., to the late Laurie and Minnie (Brothers) Bennett and moved to Branford 40 years ago from Adel, Ga. He was a member of the Beachville Advent Christian Church and was preceded in death by a sister Vera Warren.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife Stella Bennett of Branford; son Harold Bennett of Lake City; four daughters, Teresa wife of Thelton Goff of Middleburg, Fla., Diane wife of Tommy Blanton of Lake City, Susan wife of David Sullivan of Gainesville and Norma wife of Mark Greenwald of Oviedo; ten grandchildren, Michael and Brian Bennett, Thelton and Joshua Goff, Bronson, Trent and Slate Sullivan, and Eric, Hunter and Tahyler Greenwald.

Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be conducted on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Beachville Advent Christian Church with Pastor Bruce Arnold officiating. Interment will followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. HWY 441, Lake City, (386) 752-1954.
