Ms. Lizzie M. Clemens, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital, following an illness. She is the daughter of the late William Marion and Lilly Turner Russell and she is preceded in death by her husband Clement D. Clemens, Sr.; two sons, Sylvester Bishop and Clement D. Clemens, Jr.; one daughter, Shirley Bishop; four brothers, William Marion Russell, Willie, Ernest, and James Russell;  three sisters Viola Norris, Louise Pope, and Ruth Mack. Ms. Lizzie made her home in White Springs, for the past four years after moving here from Cope, South Carolina; she was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and cooking, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ms. Lizzie is survived by her six sons, William E. Bishop (Lois) of Cope, SC, and Ricky D. Bishop (Patrick)of CT.,  William, Steven, Dale, and Sam Clemens all of New York. Four daughters, Barbara Pitts (Raymond) of White Springs, FL, Rose Alford of White Springs, FL,  Julie Goodrich (Bill) of Quincy, FL, and Laurie Will of New York; one sister, Irene Green of Crystal River, FL. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Ms. Lizzie will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, FL, with Reverend Randy Ogburn officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at 10:30 A.M. at the cemetery.
