Obituary

Linnie Catherine Feickert Jordan, 83, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, with her family by her side, after an extended illness. She was born in Cooperstown, New York on August 15, 1940, to the late Charles Judd Feikert and Madeline McIntyre Feickert and raised in Rome, New York where her parents were music teachers in the public school system. This passion transcended to Miss Linnie and was evident in her love for teaching children. She was the Founder of the Blake School in Plantation, Florida and Lake City, Florida and was known to put all her monetary value back into children. In her spare time, she enjoyed sailing, traveling, designing, and decorating everyone's homes. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays as they brought all her family together. She is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Robert "Bob" Jordan and her brother, Frederic "Fritz" Feickert.

She is survived by her children, Blythe Rogers (George) of Ft. Lauderdale, Blake Lunde (Stephanie) of Lake City; Leif Lunde (Shelley) of Ft. Lauderdale, Christopher Jordan of Lake City, Jonathan Jordan (Katrina) of Lake City, Cathy Maugeri (Kent) of Canada/New Smyrna Beach, Steven Jordan of Lake City, Michael Jordan (Krista) of Live Oak and her fur baby, Annie.  She is also survived by her brother Tommy Feickert (Judy) of Virigina, seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

A funeral service for Miss Linnie will be conducted on September 22, 2023, in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Tom Tyer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to Community Hospice and Palliative Care of Columbia County, 163 SW Stonegate Terrace, Suite 105, Lake City, Florida, 32024.
