Obituary

Linda Glover Knowles, 66, of Lake City, FL, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. Born in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Darren James and Myrtle Lee Glover. She had resided in Lake City for the past 28 years after moving here from Ocala, FL. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and enjoyed their river place, fishing, and doing puzzles. She loved her family and the grandkids and was "The Best Mom and Grandmom in the World". She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jessie Lewis "Chester" Knowles and a brother, Billy Glover. .
Survivors include three sons: Rodney Knowles (Christine) , Rusty Knowles (Gina), both of Lake City, FL, and Scott Lasher (Cindy) of Citra, FL; one daughter: Rhonda Crews (M. Troy), Lake City, FL; one brother Donny Raye Glover, Branford, FL; one sister: Faye Miller, Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren: Dustin Crews, Kyla Larson, Jesse Knowles, Matthew Knowles, Taylor Crews, Shelbi Knowles, Shelby Jones, Brooklynn Crews, Carly Knowles, Tristan Knowles, and Austin Knowles; one great grandchild: Jalen Wade. Numerous other relatives and good friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Sweat officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 16, 2011, at the funeral home from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
