Linda Hurst Greene, 79, died Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Tallahassee, Florida after a brief illness. She was a native of Lake City, Florida, and the daughter of the late David and Pearlie Crews Hurst. She was married to Roy A. Greene who preceded her in death in 2011. Mrs. Greene was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Williams of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter, Avery Williams of Tallahassee, FL; sisters Mildred King and Betty French of Lake City, FL, and Nancy Baskette of Benton, TN; along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members who will always cherish their time with her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Paul Hurst and Howard Hurst; her sisters, Gladys Markham, Thelma Cox, and Shirley Espenship; and her husband.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs. Greene's name to either the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Hospital for Children. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
