Lillie Martha Norris Ford, 71 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Lake City Medical Center.  She was born in Callahan, Florida to the late German and Vera Raulerson Norris lived all of her life in Lake City.  Ms Ford was a manager at Quincy's Restaurant in Lake City for many years and she also worked for the Florida Department of Corrections at CCI for many years.  She was an elegant lady that enjoyed southern cooking, caring for others, singing in church and providing assistance to anyone in need.  Ms Ford was a loving mother who had a great love for her family and friends.  She was a member of New Beginnings Church in Lake City but she also enjoyed visiting other churches.  Ms Ford was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Mr. Wilbur Ford, in 2012.

Survivors include her five daughters, Quinn Ford, Lake City, Fran Cole (Donnie), Diane Avery (Mike), Debbie Jean Whorley and Patricia Doro (Ray); three sons, Rocky Ford (Lisa), Bobby Ford (Donna) and Timmy Ford (Rena); one sister, Maryland Skeen (Cecil), Lake City; two brothers, David Norris (Betsy), Columbus, OH and Charles Harris (Maggie), Lake City; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Eulis Taylor and Bro.
