Mrs. Leannah E. Krauss, 72 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Lake City Medical Center.  She was born in Damascus, Maryland to the late Earl and Harriet Moyer Layton and had lived in Lake City for the past 20 years having moved here from Mt. Airy, Maryland.  Mrs. Krauss was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was active in many church organizations.  While living in Mt. Airy, Maryland, she was active with the American Legion Auxiliary Post #41.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Krauss and two brothers, Carl and Eugene Layton.

Survivors include her son, Greg Krauss, McKinney, TX; one sister, Earlene Nye, Woodbine, MD; two grandsons, Nathan and Jason Hoover; 3 nephews, 2 nieces; and her Bethlehem Baptist Church family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Lowell O'Steen, Pastor, officiating.
