Larry Gene Brown, Sr

Mr. Larry Gene Brown, Sr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at his residence. He is the son of the late Carl and Corrine Sheltra Brown.  He is preceded in death by two sons, Marcus Crowder and Christopher Crowder; three brothers, Bruce, Robert, and Ross Brown. He had made Lake City his home for the past twenty years; he enjoyed spending time with his family and doing mechanic work. He would help anyone, and he successfully drove over four million safe miles.

He is survived by two sons, Larry G. Brown, Jr, Vermont, and Jon Crowder, Michigan; two daughters, Candy Mayhew (Gene), Vermont, and Neva Gail Dowling, Ocala, FL; one brother, Ronald Brown, Peabody, Massachusetts, one sister, Linda Fadden, Vermont; two sisters-in-law, Lynn Brown, Vermont and Charlotte Gill, Florida. Ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and numerous, nieces and nephews also survive.
