Kristin Leigh (Rushford) Eakins

Born the 9th day of August 1986 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, Kristin was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She departed this life on the 17th day of June 2026 in Gainesville, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Daniel Eakins; their two daughters, Maddison and Brooklyn; and their two sons, Derryn and Dalton. She is also survived by her mother, Tamara Denney, and her sisters, Brittany and Kayla.

Kristin had a heart that put others first. She was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She found joy in the little things—cooking for the ones she loved, creating beautiful candles and jewelry, getting lost in online adventures, going on long walks, feeling the sand between her toes at the beach, and having the best conversations with her children.

Her love, laughter, and gentle strength will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her family takes comfort knowing she is at peace and that her legacy of love will live on in all of them.

Memorial services will be held on the 11th of July 2026 at 11 AM at the Branford Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
