Kevin Lester Reed, 66 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City.  He was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Lester Sherman Reed and Martha Ann Boyles Reed.  Mr. Reed had made his home in Lake City since 1983 following his enlistment in the Army.  He then went on to serve in the National Guard and retired in 1991.  Mr. Reed worked for many years with Anderson Columbia and retired in 2019 as a Quality Control Manager.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Rod Reed; and one nephew, Derrick Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sandy Reed, Lake City; his son, Josh Reed, Lake City; his daughter, Katrina Reed, Lake City; one brother, Sherman Reed, Lake City; three grandchildren, Ayden and Avrey Reed both of Wellborn and Weston Reed, Lake City; sister-in-law, Debbi Reed, Vero Beach; daughter-in-law, Desiree Taylor, Wellborn; three nephews, Ryan Reed, Vero Beach, Tyler Reed, Boca Raton and Dillon Reed, Ft. Lauderdale; and his beloved dog, "Diva"

A time of visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, starting at 2:00 PM, with the rendering of military honors, and will continue till 5:00 PM, at the funeral home.
