Obituary

Keith Douglas Stewart (August 11, 1954-December 8, 2021)

"Each man's life touches so many others' lives…"  (It's A Wonderful Life)

Keith touched many lives, whether it was through friendship, family, or teaching/sharing God's word.   He never met a stranger, and was fondly referred to as the "social butterfly" who made others feel welcomed.

Born on August 11, 1954,  to William Herbert Stewart, Sr(1970) and Catherine Geary Stewart (2001) Keith grew up in Hialeah, Florida. He enjoyed playing sports, especially golf in his later years.  He was a creative person who taught  himself to play the guitar, speak/write Hebrew, sing in church, graphic design, and share his journey with others.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, co-worker, teacher, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Holgerson Stewart, a daughter, Rachel Stewart, son, Benjamin Stewart; siblings;  William (Bill) H. Stewart, Jr.  (Helen), Barbara Stewart Pilger (Dan), Michael Stewart (Lisa); cousins; Jeanne Coleman, Johanna Nelson (deceased), Judi Tannachion (Charles), Joyce Sarno, Linda Everett, Albert Jernigan (Ruth), Debra King, as well as, many nieces, nephews, friends, and his furry companion, Mr. Spock.

Someone asked what Keith had left behind…he left 67+ years of memories, two beautiful children, countless precious conversations and experiences with family and friends, goofiness and smiles, wisdom, and so much love. He will be greatly missed, but we honor his memory with how well we live our lives.

From goofy to serious, Keith guided people to be their best, and to live their best lives. " I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1 (KJV)

Celebration of Life will be in the Spring 2022.
