Keith Morgan Carmichael, 61, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday evening, August 13, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital at Shands in Gainesville after a battle with injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 29, 1960 to Rebecca Anne Futch Carmichael and Doyle Morgan Carmichael. He has made the Lake City/Suwannee County area his home most of his life and worked in Power Equipment Sales, where he was currently working for Mikell's Power Equipment. He was a past member of the Rocky Sink Masonic Lodge, where he was a Past Master of the Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved singing, and was known to be quite the practical jokester; always being the life of the party and getting a laugh out of anyone he could. He is preceded in death by his father, Doyle Morgan Carmichael and his father-in-law, Melvin Randolph Mikell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Terri Carmichael of Lake City; mother, Anne Carmichael of Lake City; son, Mikell Carmichael (Holly) of Suwannee County; and his daughter, Kristina Murphy (Jared) of Lake City. Three grandchildren; Caley Massey (Bryce) of Oklahoma, Brooke Carmichael of Suwannee County and Parker Murphy of Lake City along with his brother, James Carmichael (Denise) & mother-in-law, Shirley Mikell of Lake City also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Carmichael will be conducted on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Caleb Carmichael and Brother Bill Lawhon officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
