Kathy Mae Dalton, 68, of Lake City, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, March 25, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Iowa City, IA on January 14, 1953 to the late Dean Cole and Alice Sedlacek Cole. She has made Lake City, FL her home since 2010, moving here from the Hawthorne, FL area. She worked for the University of Iowa for over fifteen years, and in her spare time, she enjoyed trips, working with word puzzles, watching games shows and garage sales.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David Dalton, Sr., of Lake City, FL; son, David Dalton Jr. (Sheryl) of Dothan, AL; daughter, Lacey Jones (Weston) of Lexington Park, MD; siblings, Ronnie Cole (Shari), Randy Cole (Chris), Jolene Colthurst (Andy), Roger Cole (Laurie), Robert Cole (Kim), Nancy Hebl (Scott), Rick Cole (Julie), Mary Ellen Yedlik (Joel) and Rodney Cole all of Iowa. Five grandchildren, David Dalton III, Samantha Dalton, Alyssa Dalton, Jaxson Jones and Colton Jones also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Dalton will be conducted on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Father Bob Hoffman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass and burial in Iowa will be conducted at a later date.
