Kathryn Marie Runyon, 65 of Frederick, Maryland and former longtime resident of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.  She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and had made her home in Frederick, Maryland since 2018 and had previously been a resident of Lake City since 1976.  Ms Runyon was of the Nazarene faith and attended the Lake City Church of the Nazarene for many years.  She provided care in her home for children and was also a longtime volunteer at Eastside Elementary School in Lake City.  Ms Runyon was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Hansine Arneson Runyon.

Survivors include her parents, Donald L. Runyon (Jeannette), Lake City; two brothers, Daniel L. Runyon, Lake City and Steven B. Runyon (Roberta), Frederick, MD; two nieces, Shauna Peters (Jeff), Moore, OK and Jamie Rempe (David), Ft. Belvoir, VA; one nephew, Andrew Runyon, Frederick, MD.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Interment will follow.  Visitation with the family will be prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
