Kathleen "Kathie" Ann Mehl, 69, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Solaris Health Care in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 26, 1952 to the late Edward H. Cooke and Ann Godlar Cooke. She has made Lake City her home since 1987, moving here with her husband from New Jersey. She worked for a number of years in Restaurant Management and then worked with the Country Club of Lake City and then North Florida Pharmacy in Lake City as an Office Manager; but her greatest joy in life was being "Nana". She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church and she is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Kozan.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David H. Mehl; daughters, Kristen Franks (Bradley) and Lauren Mehl; brother, Daniel Cooke; sister, Christine "Chris" Cooke and brother-in-law, Bob Kozan. Two grandchildren, Elena Franks and Abigail "Abbie" Franks along with numerous friends and extended family members also survive.

A memorial visitation for Kathie will be conducted on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. at The Country Club at Lake City, 717 NW Fairway Dr, Lake City, FL, 32055. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
