Karen Gail Davis, 67, of Fort White, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence after a sudden illness. She was born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey on December 8, 1953 to the late Donald Wood and Lorreta White Wood. She has made Fort White for the last 17 years, moving here from the Green Cove Springs area. She worked for many years with Farm Credit in Lacrosse and most recently was the secretary of the First United Methodist Church of High Springs. She was a 1971 graduate of the Green Cove Springs High School; and she earned her AS Degree in Accounting Tech from Santa Fe Community College. She was a leading contributor to the Facebook page "Around Fort White", giving updates for weather and traffic to help out the community. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing and loved genealogy for her family. Her last years were spent living in the country with her loving husband, Patrick, and their dog "Bucky" and cat "Andy".
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 19 years, Patrick "Pat" Davis of Fort White.
Per Mrs. Davis's wishes, she was cremated, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Lake City Humane Society, 1392 NW Shelter Glen, Lake City, FL, 32055. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
