Junior Lee Chandler, 89 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital.  He was born in West Hamlin, West Virginia to the late Bennie and Stella Lawson Chandler.  Mr. Chanlder served our country in the United States Army and worked for many years on the assembly line with General Motors in Detroit, MI.  He made his home in Lake City since 1997 having previously been a longtime resident of Detroit, MI.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Shirley Pack Chandler, Lake City; his children, Richard Chandler (Wanda), Detroit, MI, Randy Chandler (Carey), Lake City, Raymond Chandler, Lake City, Dexter Chandler and Sharon Tipple; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Chandler will be conducted on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday.
