June G. Dunaway, 72 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City.  She was born in Savannah, Georgia and had made Lake City her home since 1995 having moved here from Jacksonville, Florida, where she was a longtime resident.  Ms Dunaway was of the Baptist faith, loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed helping others.  She loved children and operated a daycare from her home for many years, was recently a foster parent and she volunteered at local soup kitchens and homeless shelters.  Ms Dunaway was preceded in death by her parents, Asey and Nell Powell Jolley.

Survivors include her son, Brian Kent Morris (Sebrena), Orlando; her daughter, Stacy L. Stoeckert (Kevin), Lake City; and her five grandchildren, Lauren Koepp, Cameron Morris, Colby Collins, Taylor Collins and Nicholas Morris.

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
