June DePratter Brannon, 86, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 15, 2024, at her residence, after an extended illness. She was born in Nichols, Georgia on November 14, 1937 to the late Charles Murdock DePratter, II and Willard Amanda Hill DePratter. She has made Lake City her home most of her life and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Price Creek Ward. She worked for a number of years with the Columbia County School District, retiring in 2000 as the Warehouse Clerk in the Transportation Department. In her spare time, she enjoyed nurturing to her family, watching her murder mysteries, participating in her church callings, cooking and baking. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry Laverne Brannon, Sr.; and her brothers, Charles Murdock DePratter, III and Joseph DePratter.
She is survived by her sons, Hank Brannon (Barbara) and Adam Brannon (Kim) both of Lake City; daughters, Angie Williamson (Doug) of Lake City, Amanda Brannon (Ricky) of Lake City and Georgia DiFrancesco (Eric) of West Jordan, UT. Thirteen grandchildren, Marianne, Randi, Chase, Tara, Katiann, Colin, Blake, Taylor, Alexis, Kaylee, James, Peter & Thomas and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Brannon will be conducted on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Price Creek Ward (Old Country Club Road), with Bishop Chris Lowery, conducting. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Union County. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday evening, June 20, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
