Judith Douberley "Judy" Lyons, 83, of Lake City, passed away on Friday morning, May 3, 2024 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Lake City, and was the daughter of the late Leland Nelson Douberley and Robbie Lee Markham Douberley. She lived with her husband for over 40 years in the North Georgia area and worked for over 24 years with GMAC. She retired in 1994 at the Branch Manager & Secretary for the Atlanta Branch. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, enjoyed living on Lake Lanier when they lived in Gainesville, GA and when she was younger, enjoyed needle work. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Joe Hines; and her sister-in-law's, Mayme Louise Smith and Minnie June Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, W.J. "Buddy" Lyons of Lake City; sister, Fan Douberley Hines of Palatka; sister-in-law's, Annie Sistrunk of Lake City and Edith Marie Malloy (Dale) of Arizona. Two special nieces and nephews, Stephanie Hines of East Palatka and Kyle Hines (Jennifer) of Hollister along with many other nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Judy will be conducted on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Joy Bolander officiating. Interment will follow.
