Judith "Judi" Jagdfeld Hosford, 80, of Lake City, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, June 9, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, on March 5, 1945, to the late John Jagdfeld and Evelyn Walsh Jagdfeld. Judi made Columbia County her home for most of her life and was a longtime member of Wesley Methodist Church. Judi owned and operated the Joyful Noise Nursery for over 20 years. Later, she served as a Veterans Affairs Service Officer at the Lake City VA Hospital for over two decades.

Judi was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family, especially at Ocean Pond and on annual trips to the beach. She will be remembered for the unfailing love and care she had for her family and friends. A faithful friend and a wonderful listener, Judi had a gift for making others feel heard, valued, and loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Burton; her son, Danny Hosford; and her sister, Patricia McGrath.

Judi is survived by her son, John "Buddy" Hosford (Jenny) of MacClenny, and her daughter, Trish Hosford Brewington of Ft. White. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren: Kell Prevatt (Shelby) of Lake City, Olivia Hosford of MacClenny, and Noah Hosford of MacClenny, along with one great-grandchild on the way.

Judi will be deeply missed; however, her legacy of kindness and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her.

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Hosford will be conducted on Friday morning, June 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow.
