HOLMBERG, JUDITH A.
Mrs. Judith A. Holmberg, 67, of Ft. White, died Sunday August 15, 2010 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida, after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Treffle and Evelyn Miller Robert. She had lived here for the past thirty-five years after moving from New Haven, Connecticut. She enjoyed reading, painting, and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of fourteen years, Carl Holmberg, Ft. White, FL.; son, Robert Hampson, Lake City, FL.; daughter, Shari Milatz (Mel), Ft. White, FL.; brother, Donald Robert, (Marielle) Ormond Beach, FL.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Judee was an established professional in the printing industry in Connecticut. Later, as part of an over-the-road semi truck driving team, she won safety awards as well being written up in American Trucker Magazine as the Galloping Gourmet for cooking meals on the road. In High Springs, she was News Director for Radio Station WKAE, Sales Manager for the Herald and owner/operator of JB's, an office supply/book/gift store. She chaired the committee for the First annual Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration, which continues today. In Ft. White, Judee opened Engedi Place, an office supply and more store; was secretary/treasurer and CFO for Engedi Specialities Contracting, an original member of the Chamber of Commerce in Ft. White. Judee founded 'Choices", a health and wellness business, and as an ordained Alliance of Divine Love Minister and an International Coach Federation member, started "Hearts Light" for life coaching. After losing a beloved pet pug, Zen, Judee established " Pet Farewells" a website and hotline for grieving pet owners. To help give back to the community, Judee offered "Possibilities", a free-to-the-public weekly life coach gathering at Ft. White Town Hall, and was a Columbia Sheriff CSU Officer. Judee touched hundreds of lives to help deal with and heal from life's challenges and will be sorely missed. There will be a private family remembrance at home and on August 29, 2010 at 2:00P.M., a memorial life celebration gathering at the Lions Club facilities 26900 Hwy 27 West, High Springs, FL.
