Ms. Joyce Elliott Davis, age 79, of Lake City, FL, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at home with her family by her side, following an extended illness. She was born September 9, 1943 in Duval County to the late Charles Elliott and Edith Rhoden Elliott. She is preceded in death by her parents, her children's father, Warren Corbett Harris, and her husband, Melvin "Ray" Davis.

Joyce is survived by her brother, Charles Billy Elliott (Elaine) of Washington State; son, Timmy Harris (Beth); daughter, Lisa Nash (Dewayne), step-daughters, Sherry Davis, Diana Crawford, Pam Padgett & Melina Ray Stewart; grandchildren, Amber Harris, Jarrod Harris, Heather Nash, Tyler Nash (Amy), Hannah Stapleton (Lance); great-grandchildren, Jiyah, Brantley, Rylan, Haley & Nate. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Joyce started her career at McCall's Auto Parts and then went on to work for the Columbia County School System in the Lunchroom at the former 7th grade center. She was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church for many years; and in her spare time, enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and spending time with her beloved dog Margo.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at her daughter's home at 2629 NW Nash Road, Lake City, FL, 32055. A meal will follow the service. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
