Joyce Ann Bottcher Anderson, 70 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City.  She was born in Sedalia, Missouri and was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School class of 1965.  Ms Anderson was a longtime resident of Sedalia, Missouri and she also lived in Homestead, Florida before moving to Lake City in 1990.  Ms Anderson retired in 2009 from Baker Correctional Institute with 29 years of service and she also worked for 15 years part-time with Walmart in Lake City.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, close friends and neighbors.  Ms Anderson was preceded in death by her father, Leo Bottcher and one son, Jay Anderson.

Survivors include her mother, Norma Jean Bottcher, Sedalia, MO; her two sons, Josh Anderson (Nickie) and Jacob Anderson (Jamie) all of Lake City; two sisters, Jeanne Gordon (Tim), Sedalia, MO and Karen Zahringer, Alamosa, CO; and three grandchildren, Alissa, Jacolby and Ethan Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Christ Central with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the church.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Renewed Outreach, 225 NW Real Terrace, Lake City, FL 32055 (386) 438-5597.
