Mr. Joseph Lamar "Petey" DuPree, 89, of Lake City, FL  passed away at home with his family by his side on October 28, 2024. Lamar was born March 2, 1935 in Alachua, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Lafayette "Fate" DuPree and Mildred Louise Ellis DuPree and brother Donald "Don" DuPree. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Faye Delores Coleman DuPree, two sons, Joseph "Jody" DuPree, Jr. (Shannon), Lake City, FL and Donald "Donny" DuPree (Missy), Lake City, FL; four daughters, Ginger Brown (Jesse), Lake City, FL, Michelle Forde (Randy), Yulee, FL, Lynelle Mullins (James), Fernandina Beach, FL, and Renee Morgan (Nathan), Lake City, FL. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Lamar loved the Lord and showed his devotion to Him in many ways. He loved his family and friends and loved to talk and pray with them. He also loved singing with his family.
