Joseph A. "Joe" Perez, 63, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 6, 1958 to the late Joseph Perez and Norma Burgess. He has made Lake City his home since 1992 and was a US Navy Veteran. He was the owner/operator of Planet Realty. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and building custom furniture.

He is survived by his son, Eric Perez (Jessica) of Savannah, GA; daughters, Jordan Regar (Trey) and Sharon Nichter both of Lake City; brother, Michael Perez and sister, MaryAnn Heye both of Clearwater. Four grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Perez will be conducted on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
