Joseph Julian Parrott, Jr., 79, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014. He was born November 10th, 1935, the son of the late Joseph Julian Parrott, Sr. and Ida Bell Parrott. He was the eldest of nine children. Raised in Lake City, he attended schools in Columbia County. As an adult, he trained and worked as a certified Diesel Mechanic in both Jacksonville and Lake City.
He is survived by Carol Parrott, wife of 61 years, and their four children; Christine (Mark Esing), Sandra (Ricky Kuhn), Troy Parrott, and Julie Parrott. They had seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Surviving siblings include Kenneth Parrott, Earline Stafford, Charles Edward Parrott, and H.J. (Linda Parrott). He was preceded in death by four siblings including Josephine Nix, Woodrow Parrott, Catherine Davis, and Rosemary Parnell.
