Joseph Lee Bryant, 61, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday evening, January 22, 2022 after a sudden illness. He was born in Starke, Florida on July 12, 1960 to the late Gethro Lee and Marilyn Bryant. He has made the Lake City area his home most of his life. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a cook by trade, working in the restaurant industry for over 45 years, most recently at IHOP Restaurant. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his family, fishing, telling old "war stories" from his childhood, watching TV and listening to music. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Dawn Bryant and baby brother, Gary Bryant.

He is survived by his children, Angela Elizabeth Bryant, Mariah Ann Bryant and Micheala Lyn Bryant; grandchildren, Angel Elizabeth Bryant, Zayden Bryant, Serenity Bryant and Eliana Aguirre; brother, Tillman Bryant (Judy); sisters, Iva Sei (Toney), Rebecca Jackson and Lisa Smith (Barry). He is also survived by his special friend, Bobbie Parkey.

A memorial service for Mr. Bryant will be conducted on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Tyre officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
