Jonathan Michael "J.J." Spradley, 38, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the HCA Florida - Lake City Hospital after an unexpected illness. He was born in Gainesville on June 28, 1985 and has made Lake City his home his entire life. He worked for nearly 20 years with Touchstone Heating and Air, where he was currently the lead Service Manager. In his spare time, J.J. enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, spending time with his family and friends, as well as helping others, To know Jonathan was to love him! He left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Jonathan recently found a love for coaching his sons travel and rec ball teams as well as watching and taking his family to baseball games. Jonathan truly loved any and all outdoor activities but more importantly he LOVED the Lord and shared and prayed for anyone he could. Jonathan was a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone! JJ will truly be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Erston Kirby; and his brother-in-law, Daniel Thomas Geiger.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Delaine (Dee Dee) Spradley of Lake City; children, Austin Spradley, Bryson Spradley, and Zoey Spradley all of Lake City; his parents, Mike & Natasha Spradley of Lake City; brothers, Joshua Spradley (Rebecca) of Statenville, GA and Jacob Spradley (Miranda) of Lake City; along with one nephew, Jace Shuffield Spradley of Lake City. Maternal Grandmother, Carolyn Kirby and Paternal Grandparents, Betty & Shuffield Spradley all of Lake City; mother-in-law, Virginia Dixon; sister-in-law, Jamie Marie O'hern of Palatka, Sister-in-law Lisa Green of Branford, Jennifer Kilpatrick (Chip) of High Springs as well as brother-in-law, Charles Walter Williams (Jessica) of Atlanta Georgia and aunts and uncles Lisa (Tony), David (Joyce), Randy (Cheryl), Natalie (Bruce) of Lake City, Clifton (Liza) of Cumming, GA and Ouida of Steinhatchee.

A funeral service for J.J. will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Hopeful Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Elk Horn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
