Mr. Jon William Lash, 79, of Lake City passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Lake City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Danville, Illinois, he was the son of the late Frederick and Willa Myer Lash. Mr. Lash had lived in Jessup, Georgia for many years prior to moving to Lake City in 2001 and retired as an executive in the cable TV industry.

Model trains, Ham radio, traveling in his RV and spending time with his grandchildren were some of the things he enjoyed doing. One of his proudest accomplishments was his 32 years of sobriety and active participation in a fellowship of recovery for others.

Mr. Lash is survived by his sons, Jay Lash (Michele) of Vinton, IA, and Steven Lash of Canton, GA; sisters, Joan Treland of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Kay McKee of Holden, MA; grandchildren Stephanie, Matthew, Ariella, Indigo, and Zara Lash.  Mr Lash is preceded in death by Sandra Stokes Lash, his wife of 52 years.
