Jonathan Lee "Johnny" Ward, Sr., 65, resident of Branford, Fl and former resident of Lake City, died at his home on The Suwannee River Friday Jan. 2nd 2015 after an extended illness.
He was a native of Columbia County, son of the late Raymond and Bertha Keen Campbell where he owned and operated Auto Emporium Repair Shop for many years.
He attended Christ Central Church in Lake City, enjoyed restoring vehicles, fishing, hunting, and water sports. He loved and was devoted to his family.
Survivors; Wife, Geralyn Deaton Ward of Branford, Fl. four sons, Jonathan "Johnny" Lee Ward, Jr.(Amy), Lake City. Thomas Scott Ward (Dominique), Lake City. Christopher Geroe Ward (Jessica) Lake City and . Ryon Alarid, Gainesville, Fl.,Two daughters, Michelle Buchanan (Travis), Lake City. and Skylar Alarid, Lake City. One brother, Anthony Ward (Carolyn), Lulu, Fl. Three sisters, June Stillwell, Lake City, Sharon Harrell, Lake City and Sandra Croft, Lulu, Fl. Six grandchildren also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 South U.S. 441, Lake City, Fl 32025 with Pastor Travis Buchanan officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home 1 hour prior to service time ( 1.P.M.) Memorials may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 W.
