John Thomas Linton, 70, of Lake City, Florida, passed away on May 23, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Helena, Montana, on February 9, 1954, John was the son of John R. and Erna Linton. John had one brother, Rob Linton. John attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studied Biomedical Engineering.

On June 8, 1975, John married Deborah, his loving wife of 49 years. John and Debbie went on to have seven children: David Linton (Brandi), Sara Gregory (Shannon), Micah Linton (Leah), Elicia Linton-Ewing (Derek), Caleb Linton (Brandy), Becky Smith (Matt), and Susie Welch (Dustin); twenty-six grandchildren: Suzanna (Austyn), Charles, Ava, Kirby (Haylee), Kasey, Kyle, Cameron, Carson, Calista, Chad, Brantley, Olivia, Dylan (Carolann), Darren, Jaden, Ethan, Tessa, Carter, Aliyah, Ashlyn, Alexis, Adrian, Jazmine, Jalexis, Landon, and Sierra; and three great-grandchildren: Brenlee, Asher, and Stephen.

John lived with his wife and seven children in Park City, Montana, until 1990, when they moved to Lake City, Florida. While John was an advertising salesman by trade, his true calling was ministering the word of God. John pastored churches in Billings, Montana, Ft. White, Florida, and In Christ's Steps Ministry in Lake City, Florida. He taught God's word in Mexico, authored his first book, and shared the word through his YouTube channel, allowing him to reach people all around the world.

John is remembered by his family as having unwavering faith, perseverance, and optimism. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and doting grandfather. John was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Erna Linton, and grandson (baby boy Dunn).

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother; niece; nephew; and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 South Highway 441, Lake City, FL, 32025.
