John North Howell, 72 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home.  Mr. Howell was born in Lake City to the late John Carroll Howell and Thelma Inez North Howell.  Mr. Howell was a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1968 and served for 12 years with the Florida National Guard.  He retired in 2007 with 29 years of employment with UPS.  He was of the Advent Christian Faith and a member of the Beachville Advent Christian Church.  Mr. Howell was a true family man and loved nothing more than spending time with his family either at their cabin in Three Rivers Estates or when they had their home at Horseshoe Beach. He loved fishing and going to Gator games with his son.  Mr. Howell will be missed by all of his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Carroll Howell and Bill and Inez Reddick; and one son, Kyle Howell in 1975.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Wanda Ritch Howell, Lake City; his son, Brad Ashley Howell and wife Nicole Lee Howell, St. Johns, FL; his sister, Kay Sands and Husband David, Lake City; his granddaughter whom he loved beyond words, Haley Kaye Howell, St. Johns, FL; and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Robert Osburn officiating.  Interment will follow.
