John Robert Holton

John Robert Holton, 70, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the HCA Florida - Lake City Hospital in Lake City, after a brief illness. He was born in Jacksonville on May 6, 1956 to the late John Holton and Annette Holton. He worked for the Florida Department of Corrections and retired as a Lieutenant. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother, Ralph Holton.

He is survived by his wife, Monica Holton; two daughters, Brandi and Amy; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Cecelia Brown and Barbara Johnson (Jerry). He is also survived by his nephew, Donnie Johnson (Jamie) as well as many other nieces, nephews and family members also survive.

Per Mr. Holton's wishes, he was cremated and services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S.
