John Gloskowski, 76 of Fort White, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter Gloskowski and Stella Dranikoski Gloskowski. Mr. Gloskowski had made his home in Fort White since 1991 following his retirement from the Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue in Palm Beach County, Florida where he had been a longtime resident. Prior to his career as a fireman, he worked for many auto parts stores and that fueled his hobby of tinkering on cars. He enjoyed camping with his wife and spending time with his family. Mr. Gloskowski was preceded in death by his parents: and one brother, Walter Gloskowski.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Bettye Croft Gloskowski, Fort White; one brother, Edward Gloskowski (Sharon), Williamsburg, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Jean Croft, High Springs; nieces and nephews, Linda and Robert Rodriguez, High Springs and Bryan and Tina Croft, Chattahoochee, FL also survive.
A graveside funeral service for Mr. Gloskowski will be conducted on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Fort White Cemetery in Fort White. Interment will follow. A time of visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
