IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Christopher
Foreman
July 29, 1969 – June 29, 2023
John Christopher Foreman, 53, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away following a tragic motorcycle accident in Flagler County on June 29, 2023.
John was born on July 29, 1969, in Kailua, Hawaii. John was a loving father, son, brother, and friend who always put more happiness into the world than he ever took from it. John will be forever fondly remembered and missed by his daughters, Elizabeth Foreman (Jonathan) White of Burleson, Texas, and Catherine "Cat" Foreman of St. Augustine, Florida, his parents, Ron and Sandra Foreman, his brothers Joel (Michelle) Foreman and Michael (Stephanie) Foreman, and his nieces and nephew, Adrienne, Joshua, Emma, and Macy, all of Lake City. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Cary Foreman of St. Augustine, who was also a victim in the accident that claimed John's life.
John loved and lived for his daughters. He was filled with love and pride for them. What was best for each of them guided every decision he made as a dad, regardless of how hard the results of those decisions may have been on him.
John was raised in Lake City before he attended high school in Atlanta, Georgia. He settled in Atlanta for many years until he relocated to St. Augustine so Cat could be closer to the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. John remained in St. Augustine for the rest of his life, cultivating a career as an optician and offering Cat greater opportunities in education, employment, and the Special Olympics where she excelled. John was always quick to give of himself, slow to take anything in return, and put the happiness of others well ahead of any concern for his own. He was thoughtful and intelligent, with a biting sense of humor and an easy loving spirit he shared with those closest to him. He enjoyed fishing, science fiction movies, and great rock music. He was one of the nicest people you could ever have the pleasure of calling a friend.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for John on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Mike Williams, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening, July 6, 2023 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Special Olympics of Florida, 1915 Don Wickham Drive, Clermont, FL 34711.
