Mr. John Todd Davis, 46, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, October 6, 2017, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on May 16, 1971 to Carol Charland and the late Thomas Davis. He was the owner/operator of John Davis Painting, in which he was able to channel his inner artistic abilities. John was an avid gardener and loved growing orchids. He loved to make people laugh and smile. Never to meet a stranger, his giving, selfless and empathetic ways made him a good friend to all including his customers, for life. It didn't hurt that if you were of the female type, young or old, he would flirt to get a wink or a smile. John loved the simple things in life, a good cup of coffee, the smell of fall in the air and the freedom that riding his motorcycle gave him.

He is survived by his loving children; Goldi Mikala Davis of Lake City and Sarryn Davis of St. Augustine; mother; Carol Chenette (Allan) of Preston, CT; fiancé; Rebekah Hoffman of Lake City; brother; Mark Davis of Hampton, CT; sister; Lynn Davis of Preston, CT. His loving granddaughter; Luna Young along with many extended family members and friends also survive.

Memorial services for John will be conducted on Saturday, October14, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Johns, Pastor of Christ Central Ministries officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. (One hour prior to the services) at the funeral home.
