Obituary

Mr. John William Cox, Jr. 72, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL following an extended illness. He is the son of the late John William and Yvetta Green Cox, Sr. He has lived all over Florida before settling and making  Wildwood, FL his home for the past two years, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of Sandy Acres Baptist Church, the VVA, VFW Chapter 4337, American Legion  Post 18, a three-year member of the NRA, enjoyed going to the movies, jet skiing, water skiing, riding motorcycles, spending time with his family and his service dog Scrappy. He was kind and generous and never left anyone behind. But his favorite time was going to church.

He is survived by his wife of twelve years Janine Cox, Wildwood, FL; four sons Brandon William Cox (Laura) Port St. Lucie, FL, Matthew Cox, Ocala, FL, Dillon Cox (Debbie), Yuma, Arizona, and a son serving United States Navy John William Cox, III, California. Two sisters Pamela and Diane, and seven grandchildren.
