Mrs. Joanne F. Charles, 75, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness surrounded by her family. she is the daughter of the late George and Mary Souza Rachel and is preceded in death by one daughter Mary Baker, three brothers Ronnie, George and Bobby Rachel and two sisters Anne Marie Rachel and Grace Tremblay. She had made Lake City her home for the past two years after moving here from Fall River, Mass she was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed ceramics, adopting retired racing Grey Hounds, going for her walks, and spending time with family members. She adored her grandkids and enjoyed her job as a Nurses' Aid.

Mrs. Joanne is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Robert earl Charles, Lake City, FL; her two daughters Rhonda Cottom (John) Palm Coast, FL; Rachel weeks (Raymond) Lake City, FL; one brother Bruce Rachel (Joyce) Fall River, Mass; four sisters Margaret Guillmette and Barbara Thomas, Ruth Ann LaMothe (Richard) and Lorriane Laurendau all of Fall River, Mass, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family also survive.

A celebration of life for Joanne F.
