JoAnn Adams Shotwell, 68, of White Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee after a brief illness. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 2, 1953 to the late Paul and Joyce Adams. She has made the White Springs area her home since 1998, moving here from the Dallas, Texas area. She was a homemaker as well as the owner of the Country Café with her late husband for over nine years. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach, playing games on her IPad, game nights with her family as well as spending time with her children, but more especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Tony D. Shotwell; brothers, David Adams, Kenneth Adams and Steve Adams; and her father-in-law, Calvin Shotwell.

She is survived by her loving children, James Shotwell (Julie) of Fate, Texas, Angela Ogburn (Larry "Poohbear") and Sandy  Ogburn ("Little" Randy) both of White Springs; sisters, Mary Griggs (Gary) of Quinlan, Texas and Debbie Adams (Ronnie) of Dallas, Texas; mother-in-law, Billie Ruth Shotwell of Emory, Texas. Grandchildren, Lara, Tyler, Cody, Toriegh, J.T., Jolee, Sierra, Jeremy, Dalton, Allison, John Patrick and Savannah along with great-grandhilcren, Tayden, Raleigh, Bentley, Justice, Analynn, Avery, Rhipp, Wilder and Destiny also survive.

A funeral service for Mrs. Shotwell will be conducted on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Veronica Thomas and Pastor Byron Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday evening, August 14, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
