Joan Elaine Wachob, 76 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.  She was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Russell George Rogers & Helen Mary Enright and had made Lake City her home for the past 48 years.  Mrs. Wachob was of the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and her home was always open for anyone.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James Wachob in 2009; and her siblings, Edmond "Eddie" Rogers, Richard Rogers, Tiny Rogers, Thomas "Tommy" Rogers, Barbara Martin and George "Georgie" Rogers.

Survivors include her 4 children, Keith Wachob (Stephanie Cobb), Lake City, Bryan Wachob (Bobbi Christie), Lake Butler, Victoria Wachob (Randy Ratliff), Lake City and Christopher Wachob (Joy), Stoney Point, NC; 12 grandchildren: and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Christopher Wachob officiating.  There will be a visitation with the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM in the Chapel.
